One limit to know: a minus word has no exceptions. -mining also hides the honest sellers who write "never used for mining". If an exclusion is hiding listings you want, drop it and filter by eye. For the listings that slip through, see how to filter out box-only and for-parts listings.

FAQ

How do I exclude words from an eBay search?
Put a minus sign directly in front of the word, with no space: rtx 3080 -laptop. To exclude a phrase, put it in quotes after the minus: -"box only". To exclude several words at once you can also write -(laptop,notebook). The builder on this page writes that syntax for you.
How do I search for one word OR another on eBay?
Put the alternatives in parentheses, separated by commas: (n64,"nintendo 64"). eBay returns listings that contain at least one of them. Leave out spaces after the commas, because a stray space inside the parentheses can change what eBay matches.
What search operators does eBay support?
The ones worth knowing are the minus sign to exclude a word or quoted phrase, quotation marks for an exact phrase, and parentheses with commas for OR. Words separated by spaces are all required, so you don't need to type AND.
What do the parameters in an eBay search URL mean?
_nkw is the search box text. _udlo and _udhi are the minimum and maximum price. LH_ItemCondition filters condition (1000 new, 3000 used, 7000 for parts or not working). LH_BIN=1 is Buy It Now only, LH_FS=1 is free shipping, LH_LocatedIn=1 with _salic picks the country the item is in, and _sop sets the sort order (10 newly listed, 15 price plus shipping lowest first).
Does this tool search eBay or save my searches?
No. It only builds a link from what you type. Nothing is sent to eBay until you open the link yourself, no account is needed, and nothing you enter is saved.
