How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 62 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 35 of 62 (~56%) for quality reasons. The remaining 27 are what we'd actually surface.
- 23 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 7 shipped from a region we exclude
- 2 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 2 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 114 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360) because they are: that's the noise.

Lost Odyssey: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release & platform: Lost Odyssey is an Xbox 360 exclusive JRPG from Mistwalker, published by Microsoft Game Studios, and it shipped in the US in 2008. It saves to the console's storage, so nothing on the disc wears out.
- Four discs: The game ships on four discs, so a complete copy is a four-disc set. Missing or mismatched discs are the most common problem on this title, so check that the listing says all four discs are included. The feed leaves out single-disc and partial-disc listings.
- Print variants: The US release is the one this feed tracks. Asian and European releases and the Japanese playable demo disc turn up under the same title and are filtered out. Treat a seller who doesn't name the region with caution, and ask for a photo of the back of the case.
- Listing trap: Strategy guides and promo or "best RPGs" sampler discs carry the Lost Odyssey name but aren't the game. Check the title and photos show the four game discs.
Buying Xbox 360 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Xbox 360 disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
