How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one part. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different part that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 2 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 0 of 2 (~0%) for quality reasons. The remaining 2 are what we'd actually surface.
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Crucial T700 2TB returns far more than the part itself: laptop chips, mining rigs, coolers, empty boxes and whole PCs all mention it in their titles. These are the 47 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Crucial T700 2TB because they are: that's the noise.

T700: buyer & reseller spec sheet
Confirm the capacity. The T700 is sold in several capacities, and some sellers list multiple sizes in one title ("1TB 2TB 4TB"). Check the capacity in the item specifics or the photographed label, not just the title. This feed requires "T700" and "2TB" in the title and rejects titles naming 1TB or 4TB.
Heatsink or not. The T700 is sold both bare and with a heatsink, and the two carry different model numbers. The model number ending in 3 versus 5 is the quickest way to tell them apart in a photo. The same drive is sold both ways, so a heatsink listing is not a different SSD. Asking prices tend to differ between them. If your board already has its own M.2 heatsink, a bare drive may be all you need.
Listing trap. Some sellers photograph an unsealed or used drive but list it as new, or reuse stock photos. Ask for a photo of the actual label and a health screenshot on used drives.
Buying a used SSD: what to check
These checks apply to every drive on our storage pages. The item notes above cover what is specific to this drive.
Used
- Ask for a screenshot of the drive's health readout (SMART data): health percentage, total data written and power-on hours.
- Confirm the reported capacity matches the label. Fake high-capacity drives exist.
- Ask whether it was wiped. You should wipe it again yourself either way.
Refurbished
- Find out the warranty and whether the health readout was reset or replaced.
New
- Check the box is sealed and register the serial for warranty as soon as it arrives.
