How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 6 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 0 of 6 (~0%) for quality reasons. The remaining 6 are what we'd actually surface.
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 (PSP) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 94 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 (PSP) because they are: that's the noise.

Open Tee 2: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and region. Open Tee 2 is the second PSP Hot Shots Golf game, sold in North America in 2008. The Japanese release is titled Everybody's Golf Portable 2. This page tracks US NTSC copies, so check the listing says NTSC-U/C or shows the US cover.
- Format and saves. The game ships on a UMD disc. Save data lives on the PSP's Memory Stick, not on the disc, so there is no battery to fail. The disc and the case are what to inspect.
- Print variants. A standard first-run retail copy and a later budget reprint (Greatest Hits / Black Label) both exist. Asking prices for the budget print usually sit near the standard copy, so treat it as a different cover rather than a rarity.
- Listing traps. Sellers often list Open Tee 1 and Open Tee 2 together, or pair Open Tee 2 with Hot Shots Tennis. The title says "Open Tee 2" in the one you want, but the price reflects a two-game set. Case-and-manual-only listings with no disc also circulate under the full game title.
Buying PSP games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PSP UMD. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (UMD only)
- Ask for photos of both sides of the UMD, including the disc surface visible through the shell's window. Deep scratches there can stop it reading.
- Check the plastic shell for cracks or a loose half, and the label for peeling or wear.
- Compare the label art against a known-authentic copy. Reprinted labels are the main fake.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the UMD's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
