How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 37 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 11 of 37 (~30%) for quality reasons. The remaining 26 are what we'd actually surface.
- 8 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 1 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (PSP) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 95 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (PSP) because they are: that's the noise.

War of the Lions: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Format and saves. Square Enix released this enhanced remake of the PS1 strategy RPG in North America in 2007 on a UMD disc. There is no cartridge battery to worry about: progress saves to the Memory Stick Duo, so a loose UMD doesn't carry a save. Check that the label and regional markings match the US release.
- Print variants. An original-run retail print and a later budget reprint (listed as "Greatest Hits" or "Black Label" depending on the seller) both exist. Titles that name the budget print are common on the feed, so compare like with like instead of mixing them with original-print asking prices.
- Name traps. The title is the same as the PS1 original, Final Fantasy Tactics, apart from the "War of the Lions" subtitle, so a listing that drops the subtitle can be either game. Read the platform line and photos. Import copies often sit under generic titles with no region word, so the feed also drops listings that eBay places in Japan.
- Partial listings. Case-and-manual-only and manual-only items turn up under the full game title at near-disc prices. The feed filters the ones that say so in the title; read the photos for the rest.
Buying PSP games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PSP UMD. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (UMD only)
- Ask for photos of both sides of the UMD, including the disc surface visible through the shell's window. Deep scratches there can stop it reading.
- Check the plastic shell for cracks or a loose half, and the label for peeling or wear.
- Compare the label art against a known-authentic copy. Reprinted labels are the main fake.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the UMD's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
