How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 61 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 49 of 61 (~80%) for quality reasons. The remaining 12 are what we'd actually surface.
- 46 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 3 seller had too few feedback ratings
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Patapon (PSP) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 99 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Patapon (PSP) because they are: that's the noise.

Patapon: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Sequels share the name. Patapon 2 and Patapon 3 are separate PSP games that turn up in the same searches. This feed excludes titles naming them, but check the title and cover of any copy you buy.
- Save and format. A UMD game; progress is stored on the Memory Stick, not the disc. A loose disc is the whole game, and the case and manual are what separate CIB from loose.
- Print variants. An original release and a later budget reprint (sellers say "Greatest Hits" or "Favorites") both exist. Reprints usually ask less, and sealed copies of each are priced separately, so compare like with like.
- Dual-pack trap. Patapon also shipped bundled with LocoRoco as a dual pack. That is a different product at a different asking price and is filtered out of this feed.
- Demo discs. Sellers sometimes list a promotional demo disc under the game's name; confirm the listing is the full retail game.
Buying PSP games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PSP UMD. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (UMD only)
- Ask for photos of both sides of the UMD, including the disc surface visible through the shell's window. Deep scratches there can stop it reading.
- Check the plastic shell for cracks or a loose half, and the label for peeling or wear.
- Compare the label art against a known-authentic copy. Reprinted labels are the main fake.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the UMD's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
