How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 32 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 28 of 32 (~88%) for quality reasons. The remaining 4 are what we'd actually surface.
- 11 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 11 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 4 shipped from a region we exclude
- 2 caught by a junk-listing guard
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean (Saturn) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 91 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean (Saturn) because they are: that's the noise.

Albert Odyssey: collector & reseller spec sheet
Working Designs published Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean for the US Saturn in 1997. It is a rare US release, and US copies ask many times what the Japanese original does, so region is the first thing to check.
- Product code & saves. Check that the code on the spine and disc matches the US Working Designs release. The game saves to the Saturn's internal backup memory or a backup RAM cartridge, not to the disc.
- Japanese original. The Japanese game is titled Albert Odyssey Gaiden and sells cheaply, often with "Legend of Eldean" in the title. Words like "Gaiden", "Japan Import" or "NTSC-J" mean it is not the US game. The feed excludes those titles and anything shipping from Japan.
- Complete copies. CIB listings often call out the registration card. Check the photos for what is actually included, because the title does not prove it.
- Graded copies. WATA- and PSA-graded sealed copies ask far above a raw copy. Read the grade and cert before you compare.
- Not the game. Strategy guides, preview discs and non-US variants turn up under the same name. The feed filters the ones we saw, but read the photos on anything priced oddly.

Buying Sega Saturn games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Sega Saturn disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
