How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 39 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 32 of 39 (~82%) for quality reasons. The remaining 7 are what we'd actually surface.
- 15 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 12 shipped from a region we exclude
- 3 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 2 seller had too few feedback ratings
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Fighters Megamix (Saturn) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 97 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Fighters Megamix (Saturn) because they are: that's the noise.

Fighters Megamix: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Game: Sega AM2's crossover fighter, pairing Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers characters on the Saturn. Pages here track the US release only.
- Product code & saving: check that the product code on the spine and disc matches the US release; it is not the Japanese GS-9126 code. Saves are handled by the Saturn's backup memory, so there is no cartridge battery to worry about on the disc itself.
- Print variants: no collector-relevant print tiers we can verify. Treat "rare variant" claims in a title as unverified.
- Complete copies: US listings commonly mention a registration card alongside the manual, and sellers use it as a completeness signal. Ask for a photo of everything they list.
- Listing traps seen while tuning:
- Japanese copies are often titled just "Fighters Megamix Sega Saturn", with the region only in the item location or a photo of an obi strip. This feed excludes Japan-located sellers and titles that say Japanese, NTSC-J or JP, but check the spine and manual language yourself.
- Guidebooks, posters, demo discs and manual-only or empty-case listings carry the game's name. The feed filters them, but they show up on eBay searches for the title.
Buying Sega Saturn games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Sega Saturn disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
