How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 26 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 21 of 26 (~81%) for quality reasons. The remaining 5 are what we'd actually surface.
- 16 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 4 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 1 priced above the curated ceiling
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Armada (Dreamcast) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 104 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Armada (Dreamcast) because they are: that's the noise.

Armada: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Publisher: Metro3D. It is a late-era US Dreamcast release from a small publisher, so supply is thin and asking prices swing widely between listings.
- Product code & saves: check that the product code on the disc and case matches the US (NTSC) release; the feed only targets US copies. Saves go to a Dreamcast memory card (VMU); confirm the seller tests the disc, not just the case.
- Print variants: no variant worth a premium is documented here, so treat any "rare print" claim as the seller's marketing.
- Listing traps seen while tuning:
- Same-name titles: a Game Boy Color racing game and a PC game also carry the Armada name. The feed rejects them, but check the platform on any listing you find elsewhere.
- Multi-game bundles: Armada is often thrown into Dreamcast bundles with other Metro3D-era titles. The asking price is for the whole pile, not this disc.
- Completeness: many CIB listings mention a registration card; the standard CIB checks cover the rest.
Buying Dreamcast games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Dreamcast disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
