How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 15 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 3 of 15 (~20%) for quality reasons. The remaining 12 are what we'd actually surface.
- 2 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for MadWorld (Wii) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 89 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to MadWorld (Wii) because they are: that's the noise.

MadWorld: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and save. MadWorld is a Wii-exclusive action game from PlatinumGames, published by Sega, released in North America in 2009. It is a disc game that saves to the console's internal memory, so there is no cartridge battery to worry about.
- Spelling. Sellers write it as "MadWorld" and "Mad World" about equally, and some list both. The feed accepts either spelling.
- Print variants. An original retail copy and later reprints may exist; without a direct side-by-side of the case and disc we don't claim to know which is which. Treat any "rare first print" claim as a seller's story unless photos back it up.
- Japanese copies. The Japanese release (published by Spike) turns up with generic or English-looking titles. Check that the listing says NTSC-U/C or US, and look at the back-cover rating mark. The feed filters on seller location and common Japan wording, but a vague title can still slip through.
- Listing traps. Disc-only copies are common and often priced close to complete ones, so read for "case", "manual" or "CIB" before assuming a full set. Strategy guides, promo stickers and posters carry the game name and are often listed beside the game itself.
Buying Wii games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Wii disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
