How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 359 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 318 of 359 (~89%) for quality reasons. The remaining 41 are what we'd actually surface.
- 223 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 76 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 14 shipped from a region we exclude
- 2 priced above the curated ceiling
- 1 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 wrong condition (e.g. parts-only)
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Okami (Wii) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 104 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Okami (Wii) because they are: that's the noise.

Okami: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and save. Capcom released Okami on the Wii in the US in 2008, a port of the 2006 PS2 game with the brush strokes moved to the Wii Remote. Saves go to the console's own memory, so a loose disc carries no save data.
- Region lock. Wii discs are region-locked: a Japanese or PAL copy won't boot on a US console. Both are listed often, sometimes by US-based sellers, and the feed drops them by region words and item location. Check that a listing says NTSC-U/C or shows the US rating.
- Misprint copies. Some sellers list "misprint" copies and price them above plain ones. Ask for photos of the exact print issue, since the word alone proves nothing.
- Not the game. Posters, the strategy guide, empty cases and manual-only listings carry "Okami Wii" in the title. Most are dropped. Check that a "Complete" listing names the disc, case and manual.
- Different platform. The PS2 release is a separate page, and that feed keeps PS2 copies out of this one.
Buying Wii games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Wii disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
