How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 392 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 367 of 392 (~94%) for quality reasons. The remaining 25 are what we'd actually surface.
- 353 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 6 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 2 priced above the curated ceiling
- 2 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 2 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for GoldenEye 007 (Wii) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 108 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to GoldenEye 007 (Wii) because they are: that's the noise.

GoldenEye 007 Wii: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Not the N64 game. This is Activision's 2010 Wii reimagining of GoldenEye, not a port of the 1997 original. The N64 cartridge has its own page; the 2010 game also shipped as a DS version and as a later HD release on other consoles, so check the platform in the title before buying.
- Disc format, no battery. It is a Wii optical disc, so there is no cartridge save battery to worry about. The things that move an asking price are disc surface condition, whether the case and manual are included, and whether it is factory sealed.
- Editions. A standard retail release and a Collector's Edition bundled with a gold Classic Controller Pro both exist. Bundles that include the controller are filtered out of this feed because the controller dominates the price; expect a standard copy.
- Region. US (NTSC-U/C) discs only. Wii discs are region-locked, so a PAL or Japanese disc will not play on a US console. The feed rejects listings that say PAL, Japan or NTSC-J, but a title that names no region can still be an import, so confirm the region on the disc or case.
- Listing traps seen while tuning. Some sellers title DS cartridges or "Disc Only" listings with the Wii name, and a few "complete" listings are really case-and-manual without a game. Read the photos and description rather than the headline.
Buying Wii games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Wii disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
