Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) — Price Guide & Live Deals

Super Mario Galaxy: collector & reseller spec sheet

• Release and save: Nintendo EAD Tokyo's 3D platformer for the Wii, released in 2007 and later reissued in the Nintendo Selects budget line. Progress saves to the Wii's own storage, so there is no save battery to worry about; the disc either reads or it doesn't.
• Print variants: an original retail print and a later Nintendo Selects reprint both circulate, and both are authentic US copies. Sealed copies of each are different items, so check which one a sealed listing actually shows before comparing asking prices.
• Region lock: Wii discs are region-locked. Japanese and European copies surface under the same title and will not run on a US console. The feed screens out listings that say so and listings located in Japan, but check the region marking on the disc or case in the photos.
• Sequel confusion: Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a separate game with a separate page's worth of listings, and sellers often write "Galaxy 1 & 2" bundles. The feed rejects titles naming the sequel, but a bare title with a stock photo is worth a message to the seller.
• Listing traps seen while tuning: disc-only listings, case-and-manual-only listings, strategy guides, and the commemorative launch coin sold on its own all carry the game's name. The feed rejects these when the title says so.
