How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 27 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 18 of 27 (~67%) for quality reasons. The remaining 9 are what we'd actually surface.
- 7 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 6 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 2 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 wrong condition (e.g. parts-only)
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (Wii) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 94 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (Wii) because they are: that's the noise.

No More Heroes 2: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release & save: Grasshopper Manufacture's sequel to No More Heroes, published in North America by Ubisoft for the Wii. Progress saves to the Wii's internal memory (or an SD card for some data), not to the disc, so a disc has no save-battery or wear-out concern.
- Print variants: The standard retail release is the one the feed tracks. A Japanese release exists and is filtered out of this feed by seller location and title wording. A "Hopper's Edition" is sometimes listed at a much higher asking price than a standard copy; check that the seller's photos match the edition they claim before paying a premium.
- Listing traps: Two-game "No More Heroes 1 & 2" listings and multi-game lots turn up under this title, so confirm which disc you are actually buying. Sellers also post empty cases, manual-only and promo display cards under the game's name; read the photos, not just the title.
Buying Wii games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Wii disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
