Dell Latitude 5490 — Price Guide & Live Deals

Dell Latitude 5490: buyer & reseller spec sheet

The 5490 is a 14-inch business laptop. Listings often name it "Latitude 5490" or "E5490". The 5480, 5580, 5590 and 5491 are different models. Their parts and accessories share many of the same titles, so check that the model on the photo or the bottom label reads 5490.

Configurations drive the price spread. Listings of one model span several Intel Core generations and chip tiers. In practice the listings here are mostly Core i5 units, with some i7 and touchscreen variants. Memory size, SSD capacity and screen type (HD, FHD, touch) are the main value levers. A unit with more RAM and a larger SSD asks more than a base unit, and the gap is usually larger than the real parts cost. Since asking prices vary this much by configuration, compare like with like instead of the headline number.

Traps seen while tuning:

• Refurbishers publish one listing with a range such as "8-32GB RAM, 128GB-2TB SSD" and a single price that sits well above ordinary single-unit asks. The feed excludes asks over a price ceiling, so many of these drop out. Confirm the exact RAM and SSD on your variation before paying.
• Some sellers list units without the charger, and ask for less. Budget about the cost of a compatible adapter.
