Lenovo ThinkPad T490 — Price Guide & Live Deals

ThinkPad T490: buyer & reseller spec sheet

Telling it from its siblings. The T490 is the 14 inch ThinkPad; the T490s is a separate model and not the same machine. Sellers mix the two up, so check the model name on the underside label or in the system-information screen rather than trusting the title. This feed requires "ThinkPad T490" in the title and filters out T490s and T495 titles.

Configurations & value impact. Price is driven mostly by the processor tier, memory, storage size and whether the screen is touch. More memory and a larger SSD raise the asking price; a touch panel usually adds to it. A listing with a high-end processor but a small, slow drive can still be cheaper than a balanced build, so compare like for like. Battery health varies a lot between units, and some sellers quote a percentage in the title.

Traps seen while tuning. Many titles for this model are actually replacement parts (batteries, screens, motherboards, cables) that name the T490. The feed uses eBay's laptop category to keep those out. Some real machines are sold with no SSD or with a locked BIOS; the feed rejects those, but check the description on any unit that does not state its storage or BIOS status.
