How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 33 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 21 of 33 (~64%) for quality reasons. The remaining 12 are what we'd actually surface.
- 9 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 6 shipped from a region we exclude
- 3 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 2 priced above the curated ceiling
- 1 seller had too few feedback ratings
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Mario Party Advance (GBA) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 104 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Mario Party Advance (GBA) because they are: that's the noise.

Mario Party Advance: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Product code: US copies carry
AGB-B8ME-USAin their listings; the Japanese release uses a different code ending inJPN, and Australian and European copies carry their own regional codes. Check the label code matches the US release. - The poster matters for CIB. Complete copies are commonly listed with the Mario Party Advance gameboard poster alongside the manual. A "complete" listing that doesn't mention the poster, or says it's missing, usually asks less than one that includes it. Check the photos for it.
- Standalone extras are not the game. Sellers list the manual, the poster, box inserts and promotional bookmarks separately, often with the full game title. Confirm a cartridge is actually in the package before paying.
- Mario Party-e is a different product. The e-Reader card game has a similar name and is not this cartridge.
- Listing trap we saw: generic "Mario Party For Game boy Advance GB/GBA/NDS" listings with a vague "USA Ship" blurb and new-condition pricing, which are not genuine copies. The feed filters that phrasing, but treat any similar listing with suspicion.
- Save mechanism and variants: check the product code and label photos against a known-good listing. Asking prices for sealed copies swing widely, and graded copies are priced as collectibles rather than players.

Buying Game Boy Advance games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Game Boy Advance cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
