EPYC 7302: buyer & reseller spec sheet
Exact SKU identity. The EPYC 7302 is a 16-core, 32-thread server processor from the 7002 "Rome" generation, for socket SP3. The plain 7302 and the 7302P are different SKUs: the "P" part is limited to single-socket boards, while the plain 7302 can also be used in dual-socket boards. Sellers often mix the two in one title ("7302 (P)"), so confirm the exact model and the part number printed on the CPU from a photo rather than trusting the title. This feed requires "7302" in the title and leaves out titles naming 7302P, along with neighbouring 7002 models.
Variants & value impact. Some chips are sold locked to a server vendor (listings say "Dell locked" or "HPE locked"); a locked CPU is meant for that vendor's boards and may not work in a standard retail board, which is why locked chips tend to be listed at lower asking prices than unlocked ones. Prefer listings that say "unlocked" if you are building on a non-OEM board.
Listing traps. Many titles list the CPU together with motherboards, coolers or whole servers, and some coolers name "7302" only as a compatibility note. The feed drops those, plus lots and pairs. Check that the listing is a single processor and that it ships from the US.
