The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is AMD's 8-core, 16-thread desktop processor for the AM5 socket with 3D V-Cache, which is extra L3 cache stacked on the chip. On eBay, "7800X3D" mostly turns up whole gaming PCs built around it, and CPU, motherboard and RAM bundles. This page filters a live eBay feed down to single 7800X3D processors from US sellers with established feedback.

Which Ryzen 7 7800X3D you're actually buying

Other X3D chips are different processors. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the newer 8-core X3D chip on the same AM5 socket. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7950X3D are higher-core-count chips from the same generation. The older Ryzen 7 5800X3D has a nearly identical name but is an AM4 chip and won't fit an AM5 board. This feed excludes all of them.

The 7700X isn't this chip either. It's the same generation's 8-core chip without the stacked cache. Check that the listing says "X3D", and check the model printed on the chip in the photos.

Part numbers. The part numbers quoted in this feed's listings all contain the model code 910, for example 100-000000910 and 100-100000910WOF. If a listing quotes a part number without it, ask the seller.

Don't trust the item specifics. Some listings behind this page had a blank Model field, or the part number in it. One genuine 7800X3D listing gave its socket as "AM4" in both the title and the item specifics. The 7800X3D is an AM5 chip, whatever the listing says. Many used listings also share a templated title, and one of those gave a different clock speed from the rest. Trust the photos of the chip itself over the text.

Used vs refurbished vs new Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Used is most of this market. Used CPUs usually ship as the bare chip in a plastic clamshell. The original box is a plus. Whether it's included accounts for part of the price spread within Used.

Open box listings are common, and the page counts them with New. Read the description: "open box" can mean anything from an unused chip in an opened retail box to a chip that was installed and removed.

Refurbished is thin for this chip. If a listing says refurbished, ask who refurbished it and what the warranty covers. A processor has little to refurbish, so the warranty is most of what you're paying for.

New listings sit at the top of the price range. Compare a New asking price against the Used table before paying for the seal. The gap between the two is what the seal is costing you.

What this Ryzen 7 7800X3D feed filters out, and why

Every pattern below showed up in the live listing data while this page's filter was being built.

Whole gaming PCs. These were most of the raw search results for this chip. Prebuilt and custom towers list under the processor's name because it's the headline part. They're excluded by title wording and by the price ceiling.

CPU-and-motherboard bundles. Some listings sell the chip with an AM5 board, DDR5 memory or both, some at a price that could pass for a CPU on its own. They're excluded because the price covers more than the processor.

Multi-chip lots, and listings sold as broken or for parts. A "lot of 2" and a "For Parts / No POST" chip both appeared under this search. Neither belongs in a price guide for one working CPU.

Sellers outside the US, and sellers without much history. This feed only shows US-located sellers with established feedback. A good share of the single-CPU listings came from sellers with very little feedback and were left out.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D: before you buy

Any condition. The 7800X3D needs an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory. If you're coming from an AM4 system, the CPU is only part of the upgrade cost. Check your board maker's CPU support list for your exact model and BIOS version before you buy. Don't assume a cooler is included; the listing should say what's in the box.

Used. AM5 processors have flat contact pads on the underside, not pins, so the pins that can bend are in the motherboard socket rather than on the chip. Ask for sharp photos of both sides of the chip itself, not stock images, and look for scratches, residue or discoloration on the pads. In 2023 there were widely reported cases of 7800X3D chips damaged by excessive voltage on some AM5 boards, and board makers released BIOS updates to limit it. Asking how the chip was run, and whether it was tested in a working system, is reasonable. Check it's packed in a clamshell or foam, not loose in an envelope, and confirm the seller accepts returns.

Refurbished. Establish who refurbished it and what the warranty is, as above.

New / Open box. Ask for photos of the seal and the box label showing the part number. For open box, ask why it was opened and whether the chip was ever installed.

On price. Read the price table by condition bucket rather than anchoring on the single lowest number in the feed. A cheap listing is more often a chip without its box, or a seller with less history, than a bargain on the same processor.
