Skies of Arcadia Legends: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Which game this is. Legends is the 2003 GameCube release of the Dreamcast RPG, published in the US by Sega. It is a different SKU from the original; for the Dreamcast version see Skies of Arcadia. Check that the listing says GameCube and "Legends" in the title, since sellers often drop one or the other.
- Product code & saves. Saves go to a GameCube memory card, not the disc. Check that the product code on the disc label matches the US release; a listing that shows only the front cover can't confirm that.
- Print variants. Listings advertise things like a registration card or a "Y-fold" sealed copy. Treat those as seller claims: ask for photos of the item itself, and expect sealed and complete copies to ask well above loose discs.
- Listing traps. Disc-only copies are common and sit well below complete copies, so a complete-looking price on a photo of a bare disc is the usual mismatch. Case, manual and insert listings without the disc turn up under the same title; read the title for "no disc" before buying. This feed filters out the ones it recognises, but not every phrasing.
Buying GameCube games: what to check by condition

Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
