The GameCube is region-locked, so a Japanese disc won't boot on a US console without modification. Game progress saves to a GameCube memory card, so there is no save battery to worry about, and "tested" only tells you the disc reads.
- The bongos are a separate product. The game plays with the DK Bongos controller, which also sells on its own. - For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
