How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 184 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 75 of 184 (~41%) for quality reasons. The remaining 109 are what we'd actually surface.
- 46 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 11 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 9 shipped from a region we exclude
- 4 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 3 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 2 wrong condition (e.g. parts-only)
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Mario Party 7 (GameCube) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 112 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Mario Party 7 (GameCube) because they are: that's the noise.

Mario Party 7: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Product code and saves. Listings quote the US disc code as DOL-GP7E-USA and NTSC-U/C; check the code on the disc and case matches the US release. Japanese copies carry JPN. The game saves to a GameCube memory card, so there is no save battery, and "tested" only tells you the disc reads.
- The microphone. The game was sold with a GameCube microphone, and sellers advertise "big box" and "bonus set" copies. Those cost more than a plain case-and-disc copy, so confirm from the photos exactly what is in the box before paying a complete price.
- Prints. Sellers describe the original retail print as "Black Label". Treat that as seller shorthand, not an official name, and compare against photos of a known authentic copy.
- Listing traps. Case-only, manual-only and "no disc" listings carry the full game name in the title; the feed drops the ones that say so. Bundles with other Mario Party games are common and are dropped too. Japanese copies, some listed by US sellers as imports, ask a fraction of the US price. Earlier entry: Mario Party 5.

Buying GameCube games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every GameCube disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
