How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 45 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 23 of 45 (~51%) for quality reasons. The remaining 22 are what we'd actually surface.
- 14 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 3 shipped from a region we exclude
- 3 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 2 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for We Love Katamari (PS2) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 86 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to We Love Katamari (PS2) because they are: that's the noise.

We Love Katamari: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and save. Namco released We Love Katamari for the US PlayStation 2 in 2005, as the sequel to Katamari Damacy. It saves to a PS2 memory card, so a loose disc carries no save data. Check that the product code on the disc and case matches a US reference photo.
- Print variants. Sellers list copies as "Black Label" (the original print, in seller wording) and as "Greatest Hits" (a budget reprint). Sealed copies ask more than complete or loose-disc ones, so confirm the print and the seal before comparing a sealed asking price to a used one.
- Listing traps. Many listings are disc-only, manual-only or case-only; read the title for what is actually in the box. The Japanese release (Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy) is region-locked and is often listed under the plain title "We Love Katamari"; check the region line and the product code. Listings that bundle in the first game are kept out of the feed.
Buying PlayStation 2 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PlayStation 2 disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
