- Release and saves. Twisted Metal: Black is a 2001 PlayStation 2 vehicular-combat game from Incognito Entertainment, published by Sony. It saves to a memory card, so there is no save battery to worry about; condition is the disc surface, case and manual.
- Print variants. An original Black Label release and a later Greatest Hits budget reprint both exist, and sellers use "Black Label" and "GH" in titles. Asking prices usually differ between the two, but the gap moves, so compare against current listings rather than a fixed rule.
- Not the same SKU. A separate Twisted Metal: Black Online disc was released in 2002, and some copies of the game are sold with it as a bonus disc. Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
