How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 80 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 31 of 80 (~39%) for quality reasons. The remaining 49 are what we'd actually surface.
- 23 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 5 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 2 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Twisted Metal 2 (PS1) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 101 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Twisted Metal 2 (PS1) because they are: that's the noise.

Twisted Metal 2: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and saves. Twisted Metal 2 is a 1996 Sony PlayStation vehicular-combat game from SingleTrac, published by Sony. It saves to a memory card, so a disc has no save-battery or cart-wear concerns; condition is about the disc surface, case and manual.
- Print variants. An original Black Label release and a later Greatest Hits budget reprint both exist, and sellers use "Black Label", "Green Label" and "GH" in titles. Check the label and the product code printed on the disc against the US release. Asking prices usually differ between the prints, but the gap moves, so compare against current sold-style listings rather than a fixed rule.
- Listing traps. Official-looking "Twisted Metal 2" diorama and display items from collectible makers show up in searches next to the game itself. Titles sold as "manual and case" with no disc, and multi-game lots that name Twisted Metal 2 among several others, also appear regularly. Read the title for "disc only", "no manual" or "no disc" before you click.
Buying PlayStation games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PlayStation disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
