How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 49 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 35 of 49 (~71%) for quality reasons. The remaining 14 are what we'd actually surface.
- 27 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 7 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Alundra (PS1) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 96 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Alundra (PS1) because they are: that's the noise.

Alundra: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Publisher & save: The US release was published by Working Designs, with Matrix Software as developer. Progress saves to a memory card. Check that the product code on the disc and spine matches the US release, since Japanese and PAL copies circulate under the same name.
- Complete copies and the map: Listings routinely split "complete" copies into "with map" and "no map" or "manual, no map", and asking prices follow that split. Ask the seller to photograph the map insert if you want a fully complete copy.
- Print variants: Sellers may describe different prints. Treat the print as a minor value factor, and check the label in photos instead of trusting the title.
- Alundra 2 trap: Alundra 2 is a separate, later game from a different publisher, and its listings often use "Alundra" in the title. Confirm the disc and case say the first game before you buy.
- Paper extras: Posters, strategy guides and mail-in promo items turn up under the same search and are priced as collectibles, not as the game.
Buying PlayStation games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every PlayStation disc. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
