- Release & saves: Driver: You Are the Wheelman is the 1999 PlayStation game from Reflections Interactive. It saves to a standard PS1 memory card, so there is no cartridge battery to worry about. Check that the label and back cover match the US (NTSC-U/C) release.
- Print variants: an early-run retail print and a later budget reprint (Greatest Hits) both circulate. Listings call them out in the title, and the budget reprint generally asks less than an early print in the same condition.
- Listing traps:
- Driver 2 shares the series name and is often listed alongside the original, including two-game bundles. The feed rejects titles naming Driver 2 or Driver 3, but read any listing that just says "Driver" for the right game before bidding.

Loose (disc only)
- Ask for a clear photo of the data side under light. Light surface scratches usually play; deep or circular scratches often don't.
- Check the label art and the printing in the center ring against a known-authentic disc. Burned copies and reprinted labels are the main fakes.
- "Resurfaced" means the disc was polished. It is usually fine to play but worth less to collectors.
CIB (complete in case)
- Confirm the case, front art and manual are all shown, and that the art matches the disc's region.
- Cracked cases are cheap to replace; missing or reprinted cover art and manuals are what cost money.
- For multi-disc games, make sure every disc is pictured.
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
