How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 63 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 25 of 63 (~40%) for quality reasons. The remaining 38 are what we'd actually surface.
- 12 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 12 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 1 shipped from a region we exclude
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Pokemon Conquest (DS) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 96 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Pokemon Conquest (DS) because they are: that's the noise.

Pokemon Conquest: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and save: Pokemon Conquest is a Nintendo DS strategy-RPG released in the US in 2012. Check that the product code on the cart label matches the US release before paying a US price. How it saves is not in our facts file, so ask loose sellers to confirm it saves and reloads, and prefer listings that say "tested".
- Prints: A first-run retail print may be advertised on sealed copies. We haven't confirmed identifying marks, so compare the box against reference photos instead of trusting a "first print" label.
- Japanese copies: The Japanese release is titled Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition and often appears as "Pokemon Conquest" with the Japanese name or "Nobunaga no Yabou" in the title. The feed rejects Japan-located sellers and titles carrying Japanese wording, but a Japanese cart listed from a US address with a bare title can still get through. Check the label text and product code.
- PAL copies: Australian and European copies show up under the same title. The feed drops titles that say PAL, AUS, EUR or "region free"; confirm the region on anything that doesn't state it.
- Case-only and manual-only listings: These are common for this title and use the full game name. The feed rejects "case only", "no game" and "inserts only" wording, but read the photos on any CIB-priced listing to confirm the cartridge is in the case.
- Sealed and graded: Sealed copies ask far more than loose or CIB. Graded and card-bundle copies can ask more than this feed's price ceiling, so a thin Sealed chip is normal.
Buying Nintendo DS games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Nintendo DS cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and plastic case and cover art are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
