How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 793 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 603 of 793 (~76%) for quality reasons. The remaining 190 are what we'd actually surface.
- 459 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 82 shipped from a region we exclude
- 23 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 19 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 8 priced above the curated ceiling
- 7 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 5 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Pokemon Stadium (N64) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 108 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Pokemon Stadium (N64) because they are: that's the noise.

Pokemon Stadium: collector & reseller spec sheet
- The Transfer Pak is part of a complete copy. The US release came in an oversized box with an N64 Transfer Pak, which lets the game read teams from Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. A "CIB" listing without the Pak is not complete, so check the photos for it before you compare against big-box asking prices. Loose carts sold "with Transfer Pak" ask a bit more than the cart alone.
- Box-only and Pak-only listings. Sellers list the empty big box (sometimes with manual, tray and Pak) and the bare Transfer Pak with "Pokemon Stadium" in the title. Both can look like the game at a glance. The feed drops titles saying "no game", "box only" or "manual only", and standalone Transfer Pak listings.
- Not Pokemon Stadium 2. The sequel is a separate N64 cart and sells for more. Sellers often call this one "Pokemon Stadium 1". The feed excludes Stadium 2 and "1 & 2" pairs.
- Japanese numbering doesn't match. Japan had an extra Stadium game, so a Japanese "Stadium 2" is a different product from the US Stadium 2. The feed excludes Japanese copies. On any import, go by the product code on the label, not the number in the title.
Buying Nintendo 64 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Nintendo 64 cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
