How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 53 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 12 of 53 (~23%) for quality reasons. The remaining 41 are what we'd actually surface.
- 4 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 4 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 2 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 105 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) because they are: that's the noise.

Pokemon Puzzle League: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release: US N64 cartridge from 2000, a falling-block puzzle game with Pokémon characters. Not a Pokémon RPG, and not the Game Boy Color Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, which is a different game.
- Product code: the US label should carry an NTSC-U/C (US/Canada) marking. Check the product code on the label matches the US release before paying a CIB price.
- Prints: an early-run retail print and a later budget reprint may both circulate. Treat any "first print" claim as unverified unless the seller shows the identifying marks.
- Save: save behavior and battery type vary by cart, and a 25-year-old save battery may be dead. Ask whether the cart was tested through a save.
- Listing traps we saw: PAL and other-language copies (the feed filters the ones that say so in the title), manual-only and box-only listings, and rental-store copies with stickers or store wear that sellers price as collectibles. Sealed and graded asking prices vary widely between sellers.
- Related: Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Stadium are the other N64 Pokémon titles buyers mix up with this one.

Buying Nintendo 64 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Nintendo 64 cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
