How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 42 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 33 of 42 (~79%) for quality reasons. The remaining 9 are what we'd actually surface.
- 25 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 5 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 1 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Snowboard Kids (N64) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 106 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Snowboard Kids (N64) because they are: that's the noise.

Snowboard Kids: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release: the original Snowboard Kids came to the US on Nintendo 64 in 1997, published by Atlus. The sequel is a separate cart, Snowboard Kids 2, and carries its own price tier.
- Product code & saves: check that the label's product code matches the US release, not the Japanese Snobow Kids or a PAL cart. On save method, ask the seller what they actually tested (a save that persists after a full power-off), since we don't state the save hardware here.
- Print variants: no variant-specific price rules here. Rental-store copies turn up with wear, and a rental box or case is worth less than a clean retail one.
- Title traps: listings titled just "Snowboard Kids" can be the Japanese cart (Snobow Kids), a PAL copy, or the sequel. The feed filters region words, Japanese-located sellers and "Snowboard Kids 2" titles, but a bare title with no region in it can still slip through, so confirm the label before paying. Listings that say "compatible" or "custom label" describe aftermarket carts, and the feed rejects those too.
- Sealed: graded and sealed copies are rare and ask far above the rest of the page, so judge them by the grading label and the seller, not by the loose-cart range.
Buying Nintendo 64 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Nintendo 64 cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
