How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 3410 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 3323 of 3410 (~97%) for quality reasons. The remaining 87 are what we'd actually surface.
- 2694 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 578 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 26 shipped from a region we exclude
- 12 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 7 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 5 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 priced above the curated ceiling
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Mario Party (N64) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 119 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Mario Party (N64) because they are: that's the noise.

Mario Party: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Which game this is. The first Mario Party, developed by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo, released in North America in 1999. Sellers often write "Mario Party 1" to separate it from the two N64 sequels. Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3 share the same title words and the same price range, so the feed drops any listing that names either one. Check the label in the photos: the sequels carry their number on the cart.
- Product code. Check that the code on the cart label and box ends in "USA". Japanese copies, which turn up often and cheap, carry a code ending in "JPN" and won't fit a US console without an adapter.
- Print variants. Ex-rental carts with a Blockbuster store sticker show up regularly. They are authentic US carts. Price them on the label's condition under and around the sticker.
- Listing trap: cheap "Brand New" copies. Listings titled like "Mario Party 1 64 Games For Nintendo N64 US Version", marked Brand New and priced below a used loose cart, appear alongside matching listings for the sequels. A factory-new 1999 copy doesn't sell at a loose-cart price. The feed filters that title pattern; treat any other new copy at a loose price the same way.
- Lots. Mario Party often ships in N64 lots with Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Mario Golf or Paper Mario. The feed leaves lots out to keep per-game prices accurate.

Buying Nintendo 64 games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Nintendo 64 cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
