How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one part. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different part that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 11 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 6 of 11 (~55%) for quality reasons. The remaining 5 are what we'd actually surface.
- 2 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 1 priced above the curated ceiling
- 1 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 1 shipped from a region we exclude
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for NVIDIA A100 40GB PCIe returns far more than the part itself: laptop chips, mining rigs, coolers, empty boxes and whole PCs all mention it in their titles. These are the 86 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to NVIDIA A100 40GB PCIe because they are: that's the noise.

A100 40GB PCIe: buyer & reseller spec sheet
SKU identity. The NVIDIA A100 40GB PCIe is an Ampere data-center accelerator with HBM2e memory. It ships in a 40GB and an 80GB version, so confirm the memory size in the item specifics and on the card label, not only the title. This page tracks the 40GB PCIe card. It is not the A40 48GB, a different GDDR6 card.
Variants & value impact. Sellers list the card as "Tesla A100", under NVIDIA part numbers, or under Dell, HPE and Cisco OEM part numbers. They are the same card family, but OEM part numbers and sealed-new status move the asking price, so compare within a condition chip.
Listing traps.
- SXM4 modules sold as PCIe. Many low-priced listings are SXM4 modules re-fitted to a PCIe board, often titled "SXM4 converted to PCIE". They are a different product from the original PCIe card and sell at a steep discount. The feed filters titles that mention SXM or conversion, but check the part number and photos on any listing that does not say.
- Multi-card packs and servers. Quantity listings and complete GPU servers appear under A100 searches. Check the quantity and whether a chassis is included before comparing asking prices.
Buying a used graphics card: what to check
These checks apply to every card on our graphics-card pages. The item notes above cover what is specific to this model.
Used
- Ask for a screenshot of a monitoring tool (such as GPU-Z) showing the exact model and memory size, plus a stress test or benchmark run with temperatures visible.
- Ask whether the card was used for mining. Mining wear is mostly fans and thermal pads, which are fixable, but it should be disclosed and priced in.
- Check the photos for bent fins, missing screws, broken fan blades and damaged power connectors.
- Confirm whether the manufacturer warranty transfers. It varies by brand and is tied to the serial number.
Refurbished
- Find out who refurbished it (the manufacturer or a third party) and how long the warranty is.
- Ask what was replaced. A repaste and new pads is routine; a replaced core or memory is not.
New
- Check that the box is factory sealed and the serial on the box matches the card, so warranty registration works.
- Very low prices on "new" cards from new seller accounts are the most common scam on this category.
