RTX 3080 12GB: buyer & reseller spec sheet
Exact SKU identity. This is the 12GB desktop RTX 3080, a separate version from the original 10GB card, not the same board with more memory. Many titles leave the memory size out, and this feed only keeps listings that state 12GB in the title. Confirm it from the listing's Memory Size item specific or a GPU-Z screenshot rather than the headline. The RTX 3080 10GB is the sibling most often mixed up with it.
The Ti is a different card. The RTX 3080 Ti is also a 12GB card and sits right beside this one in search results, often with "3080 Ti" written as "3080Ti". This feed excludes both spellings. If a price looks too high or low for a 3080, check for "Ti" first.
Variants & value. Board partner, cooler design and box inclusion move asking prices more than condition grade does. Some listings carry LHR in the title. Water-cooled models come with a block or built-in radiator and need matching case or loop support.
Traps seen while tuning.
- "RTX 3080 20GB" cards, including ones described as double-VRAM modded, are listed beside the real 12GB card. They aren't a standard retail version, and this feed excludes 20GB titles.
- Laptop RTX 3080 parts, external GPU boxes and multi-GPU mining setups appear under the same name. The feed's guards and exclude list target them, but read the title before trusting a card.
Buying a used graphics card: what to check

Used
- Ask for a screenshot of a monitoring tool (such as GPU-Z) showing the exact model and memory size, plus a stress test or benchmark run with temperatures visible.
- Ask whether the card was used for mining. Mining wear is mostly fans and thermal pads, which are fixable, but it should be disclosed and priced in.
- Check the photos for bent fins, missing screws, broken fan blades and damaged power connectors.
- Confirm whether the manufacturer warranty transfers. It varies by brand and is tied to the serial number.
Refurbished
- Find out who refurbished it (the manufacturer or a third party) and how long the warranty is.
- Ask what was replaced. A repaste and new pads is routine; a replaced core or memory is not.
New
- Check that the box is factory sealed and the serial on the box matches the card, so warranty registration works.
- Very low prices on "new" cards from new seller accounts are the most common scam on this category.
