The RTX 3090 is a 24GB GDDR6X card, and that memory is why it is still bought long after newer generations shipped. Plenty of listings now market it for local AI and LLM work as well as gaming. This page filters a live eBay feed down to US sellers with established feedback. It excludes the 3090 Ti, parts-only and broken cards, whole systems, multi-card lots and loose cooler parts, so what's left is single, working RTX 3090s.

Which RTX 3090 you're actually buying

Every retail RTX 3090 has 24GB, so memory size doesn't tell listings apart. The board partner does. NVIDIA's own Founders Edition shows up regularly in this feed, along with partner cards from EVGA (FTW3, XC3, Kingpin), ASUS (ROG Strix, TUF), MSI (SUPRIM, Gaming X Trio, Ventus), Gigabyte (Gaming OC, Eagle, Turbo), ZOTAC (Trinity, AMP) and PNY. They differ in cooler, physical size and clocks. Size varies a lot between models, so check the specific model's dimensions against your case.

OEM cards are a real share of supply. Cards pulled from Dell, Alienware and HP prebuilt systems show up next to retail partner cards, often described simply as "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090" with the system brand attached. They are genuine 3090s. Their cooler design and warranty situation differ from retail cards, so ask where the card came from and what, if any, warranty remains.

Read the item specifics, not just the title. Some listing titles say "GDDR6" where the card is GDDR6X. That's usually a seller typo, not a different product, but it's the kind of detail to confirm in the listing's item specifics before you rely on it.

The RTX 3090 Ti is a different card

The RTX 3090 Ti also carries 24GB and sits right beside the 3090 in search results. It's a separate, later SKU, and on eBay the two often ask similar prices. That makes it easy to buy one while meaning to buy the other. This feed excludes the Ti deliberately. If a listing is priced oddly for a 3090, check whether the title says "Ti" before anything else. Used vs refurbished vs new RTX 3090

Used is most of this market. It's also where the widest price spread is, and much of that spread comes from the board-partner model rather than condition.

Refurbished listings carry eBay's graded labels (for example "Excellent - Refurbished" and "Very Good - Refurbished"). The grade reflects whoever did the refurbishing, which may be the manufacturer or may be the seller. Ask which, and ask what warranty comes with it. Those answers vary widely between listings with the same grade.

New and Open box both appear, in small numbers, since this card is well past its retail run. Treat a "new" RTX 3090 as something to verify rather than assume. See the checklist below.

What this RTX 3090 feed filters out, and why

Every pattern below showed up in the live listing data while this page's filter was being built.

Parts and cooler-only listings that carry the full card name. Empty retail boxes, replacement fans and complete cooler/shroud assemblies with no board all list under "RTX 3090 24GB". The same goes for cards openly sold as not powering on or for repair. They're legitimate listings for someone rebuilding a card, and none of them is a working 3090. This feed removes them by title and by a price floor.

Whole systems and servers. Complete gaming PCs and multi-GPU rack servers list under GPU searches because the GPU is the headline part. If the title also names a CPU, system RAM or storage, you're looking at a computer.

Multi-card lots. Listings for two or four cards at a combined price appear alongside single cards. The per-card maths can look attractive until you notice the quantity.

Overseas blower cards. A large group of "Turbo" blower-style 3090s, many described as pulled from servers or aimed at AI workloads, ship from outside the US. This page is restricted to US item locations, so they don't appear here. If you shop for them elsewhere, remember that blower cards are built for server airflow and behave very differently in a normal desktop case.

Condition labels that contradict the title. Some listings are marked "Used" by eBay's dropdown and "unopened" or "unused" in the title, at asking prices far above the rest of the market. The price ceiling on this feed keeps most of them out. If you see one elsewhere, the mismatch alone is reason to ask questions.

RTX 3090: before you buy

Any condition. Confirm the exact board-partner model, not just "RTX 3090". Ask for photos of the actual card, including the power connectors and the I/O bracket, rather than stock images. Confirm the seller accepts returns.

Power. The number and type of power connectors varies between 3090 models, and so does the recommended power-supply headroom. Check both against the specific model in the listing, and confirm your PSU has the matching cables with room to spare. Don't assume from another 3090.

Used. This card lived through the crypto-mining boom, so ask directly how it was used and for how long. A title that stresses "Non-LHR" is a hint that the seller was marketing it to mining or compute buyers. That isn't disqualifying, but it's worth a question. Memory temperatures and thermal pads are a well-known topic on this card. Ask whether it has ever been opened, repasted or re-padded. A card that has been serviced by someone who can tell you what they did is often a better buy than one that never has.

Water-cooled cards. Some 3090s in this feed come with a full-cover water block fitted instead of the original air cooler. They're whole cards, and they need a custom loop to run. Ask whether the original cooler is included. Without it, the card can't simply go into an air-cooled build.

Refurbished. Establish who did the refurbishment and what the warranty is. "Refurbished" with no warranty and no named refurbisher is really just "used".

New / Open box. For a card this far past its retail run, a sealed unit deserves scrutiny. Check the seller's history and other listings, and ask for photos of the seal and the serial label. For open box, ask why it was opened and whether all original accessories are present.

On price. Read the price table by condition bucket rather than anchoring on the single lowest number in the feed. A cheap listing is more often a less sought-after partner model, or an OEM pull, than a bargain on the same card.
