NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB — Price Guide & Live Deals

The RTX 3080 10GB is the original desktop RTX 3080, with 10GB of GDDR6X. It's one of the most-listed cards of its generation on eBay, and most of that supply is used. This page filters a live eBay feed down to US sellers with established feedback. It excludes the 12GB version and the 3080 Ti, laptop and external GPUs, parts-only and broken cards, whole systems, multi-card lots and loose cooler parts, so what's left is single, working 10GB desktop cards.

Which RTX 3080 you're actually buying

"RTX 3080" covers several different products on eBay, and the titles don't always say which one you're looking at.

10GB vs 12GB. NVIDIA later released a 12GB desktop RTX 3080. It's a separate version with its own specs, not just the 10GB card with more memory, and the two often ask overlapping prices. This page covers the 10GB card only. Some titles leave the memory size out entirely ("Asus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC"), so check the Memory Size field in the listing's item specifics. Sellers enter it as either "10GB" or "10 GB". Many partner model numbers encode the memory size too. EVGA's 10GB cards have part numbers beginning 10G- and its 12GB cards 12G-, and ASUS model codes include O10G or O12G.

The RTX 3080 Ti is a different card. It's a higher-tier SKU that also has 12GB, and it shows up right next to the 3080 in search results. This feed excludes it. Board partners. NVIDIA's own Founders Edition appears regularly, alongside partner cards from EVGA (FTW3, XC3), ASUS (ROG Strix, TUF, Turbo), MSI (Gaming X Trio, SUPRIM X, Ventus), Gigabyte (Gaming OC, Vision, AORUS, Turbo), ZOTAC (Trinity, AMP) and PNY. They differ in cooler, physical size and clocks. Size varies a lot between models, so check the specific model's dimensions against your case.

OEM cards are a real share of supply. Cards pulled from Dell, Alienware, HP, Lenovo Legion and Acer Predator prebuilt systems sit next to retail partner cards, often titled simply "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB" with the system brand attached. They're genuine 3080s, but their cooler design and warranty situation differ from retail cards. Ask where the card came from and what, if any, warranty remains.

LHR cards. Many 3080 10GB listings say "LHR" in the title, and some say "Non-LHR". LHR versions came later and were designed to limit crypto-mining performance. For gaming, that label isn't what separates a good buy from a bad one. A title that stresses "Non-LHR" does suggest the seller is marketing to mining or compute buyers, though, and that's worth a question.

Used vs refurbished vs new RTX 3080

Used is most of this market by a wide margin. The price spread within Used comes largely from the board-partner model and whether the box is included, not just from condition.

Refurbished listings carry eBay's graded labels (for example "Excellent - Refurbished" and "Very Good - Refurbished"). The grade reflects whoever did the refurbishing, which may be the manufacturer or may be the seller. Ask which, and ask what warranty comes with it.

New and Open box both appear. Open box is the more common of the two, since this card is well past its retail run. Treat a "new" RTX 3080 as something to verify rather than assume. See the checklist below.

What this RTX 3080 feed filters out, and why

Every pattern below showed up in the live listing data while this page's filter was being built.

Laptop GPUs sold under the desktop name. This is the most expensive mistake on this search. Laptops with a mobile "RTX 3080" list right beside desktop cards, sometimes at desktop-card prices, and not all of them say "laptop" in the title. Some are titled only by the laptop model (Razer Blade, Zephyrus, ThinkPad, Alienware m15). Watch the memory figure: laptop listings in this search advertise memory sizes like "16GB" that no desktop 3080 has. External GPU enclosures and MXM modules turn up too. None of them is a desktop card, and this page excludes all of them.

Other memory sizes. Besides the official 12GB version, listings for "RTX 3080 20GB" cards appear. That isn't one of the retail desktop versions, so treat any such card as non-standard or modified. This page excludes it.

Mining cards with no display output. NVIDIA's CMP mining cards, such as the CMP 90HX, also carry 10GB and turn up in the same searches. They're sold for mining and compute, and listings describe them as having no video output. They aren't RTX 3080s, and this feed doesn't match them.

Parts, coolers and boxes carrying the full card name. Empty retail boxes, replacement fans, heatsinks and backplates all list under "RTX 3080". So do cards openly sold as not working or for repair, including cards with a "dead core" sold as memory donors. None of them is a working card. This feed removes them by title, by eBay's "For parts or not working" condition and by a price floor.

Whole systems. Gaming PCs, workstations and small-form-factor desktops list under GPU searches because the GPU is the headline part. If the title also names a CPU, system RAM, storage or an operating system, you're looking at a computer.

Overseas and mislabeled "unused" cards. A large block of 3080 listings ships from outside the US. Some of it is described as "unused" or "unopened" under eBay's "Used" condition, at asking prices far above the rest of the market. This page is restricted to US item locations and has a price ceiling, so they don't appear here. If you see one elsewhere, the mismatch alone is reason to ask questions.

RTX 3080: before you buy

Any condition. Confirm the exact board-partner model and the memory size, not just "RTX 3080". Ask for photos of the actual card, including the power connectors and the I/O bracket, rather than stock images. Confirm the seller accepts returns.

Power. The number and type of power connectors varies between 3080 models. Listings in this feed advertise both two and three 8-pin connectors, and the recommended power-supply headroom varies too. Check both against the specific model in the listing, confirm your PSU has the matching cables with room to spare, and if the card needs an adapter, ask whether it's included.

Used. This card sold through the crypto-mining boom, so ask directly how it was used and for how long. Ask whether it has ever been opened, repasted or re-padded. A card serviced by someone who can tell you what they did is often a better buy than one nobody has looked at. On a blower-style "Turbo" card, ask what it was used in. Blower coolers are built for workstation and server airflow and behave differently from open-air coolers in a normal desktop case.

Water-cooled cards. Some 3080s in this feed come with a full-cover water block or a built-in liquid cooler instead of a standard air cooler. They're whole cards, and a full-cover block needs a custom loop to run. Ask whether the original air cooler is included. Without it, the card can't just go into an air-cooled build.

Refurbished. Establish who did the refurbishment and what the warranty is. "Refurbished" with no warranty and no named refurbisher is really just "used".

New / Open box. For a card this far past its retail run, a sealed unit deserves scrutiny. Check the seller's history and other listings, and ask for photos of the seal and the serial label. For open box, ask why it was opened and whether all original accessories are present.

On price. Read the price table by condition bucket rather than anchoring on the single lowest number in the feed. A cheap listing is more often a less sought-after partner model, an OEM pull, or a card without its box than a bargain on the same card.
