How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one part. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different part that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 71 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 37 of 71 (~52%) for quality reasons. The remaining 34 are what we'd actually surface.
- 10 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 10 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 7 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 6 priced above the curated ceiling
- 2 shipped from a region we exclude
- 1 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super 8GB returns far more than the part itself: laptop chips, mining rigs, coolers, empty boxes and whole PCs all mention it in their titles. These are the 82 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super 8GB because they are: that's the noise.

RTX 2080 Super: buyer & reseller spec sheet
Exact SKU identity. The RTX 2080 Super is an 8GB card. It sits beside the plain RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti, which shares the "2080" string but is a different, 11GB part. This feed requires the phrase "2080 Super" in the title and excludes Ti listings, so the Ti cannot appear here. Confirm the exact model from a photo of the card's sticker or a GPU-Z screenshot rather than trusting the title alone. Titles that write "2080S" or reorder the words are not matched, so the feed is a deliberate subset of what eBay carries.
Variants & value impact. Board partner and cooler design drive most of the asking-price spread: open-air multi-fan cards, single-fan blower ("Turbo") cards, and factory liquid-cooled models all appear. Dell and Lenovo OEM cards turn up regularly and usually ask less than retail partner boards. Check that an OEM card is a standard PCIe card with the display outputs you need.
Listing traps seen while tuning.
- Laptop parts titled with the chip name: ThinkPad systems, laptop mainboards and MXM upgrade kits carry "RTX 2080 Super" but are not desktop cards. The feed excludes them.
- Bare boards sold with the cooler removed ("no heatsink/cooler"), and cooling-fan replacement kits that name the card. Both are excluded.
Buying a used graphics card: what to check
These checks apply to every card on our graphics-card pages. The item notes above cover what is specific to this model.
Used
- Ask for a screenshot of a monitoring tool (such as GPU-Z) showing the exact model and memory size, plus a stress test or benchmark run with temperatures visible.
- Ask whether the card was used for mining. Mining wear is mostly fans and thermal pads, which are fixable, but it should be disclosed and priced in.
- Check the photos for bent fins, missing screws, broken fan blades and damaged power connectors.
- Confirm whether the manufacturer warranty transfers. It varies by brand and is tied to the serial number.
Refurbished
- Find out who refurbished it (the manufacturer or a third party) and how long the warranty is.
- Ask what was replaced. A repaste and new pads is routine; a replaced core or memory is not.
New
- Check that the box is factory sealed and the serial on the box matches the card, so warranty registration works.
- Very low prices on "new" cards from new seller accounts are the most common scam on this category.
