The 7th Saga: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and save: the US release is Enix's 1993 RPG, known in Japan as Elnard. It saves to the cartridge, so budget for a dead save battery on any copy this old regardless of what the seller claims. Check that the product code on the label matches the US release.
- What "complete" means: a complete copy is expected to include the box, the manual and a foldable map/poster insert. Sellers list the map separately all the time, so a CIB asking price with no mention of the map is worth a question. Treat "CIB, no map" as its own tier.
- Standalone map and manual listings: the map/poster and the manual are both sold on their own and can be mistaken for the game in a quick scan. The feed rejects titles that are the map or the manual alone, but read the title when a price looks too good.
- Japanese Elnard: the Super Famicom version carries the Japanese title and is sold under it. The feed excludes Japan-located sellers and titles that say Japanese or Famicom. If a listing only says "7th Saga" with no region, confirm US NTSC before paying a premium.
- Prints: an early-run retail print and later reprints may exist. Without a verified identifying mark to cite, compare label and box against a known authentic photo rather than relying on seller claims.
Buying Super Nintendo games: what to check by condition

Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.

- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
