Wild Guns: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Developer and release: Natsume's western-themed run-and-gun shooter, released in North America in 1995 for the SNES.
- Product code: check that the label's product code matches the US release rather than a Japanese Super Famicom or PAL cart. The feed filters those out, but unlabeled imports still turn up in general eBay searches.
- Print variants: we're not aware of a documented original-vs-reprint split for the US cart that we can name with confidence. Judge a cart on label and board condition rather than on a claimed "variant."
- Modern reissue trap: a recent limited-run re-release of Wild Guns for the SNES also circulates as a new, sealed item. It is a different product from the 1995 cart, and the feed leaves it out. If a listing says "Strictly Limited" or describes a new-production release, it is not a 1995 sealed copy.
- Repro traps seen while tuning: aftermarket labels, custom boxes with insert trays, and reproduction cases are all sold under the plain Wild Guns title. A "CIB" built from a custom box is not a complete original. Ask for photos of the original box, tray and manual.
- Save mechanism: as far as we know the game has no battery save, so a seller's "saves" claim is not a meaningful authenticity test either way.
Buying Super Nintendo games: what to check by condition

Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
