How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 337 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 300 of 337 (~89%) for quality reasons. The remaining 37 are what we'd actually surface.
- 236 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 40 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 15 shipped from a region we exclude
- 5 priced below our floor (too good to be true)
- 3 seller had too few feedback ratings
- 1 priced above the curated ceiling
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Final Fight (SNES) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 110 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Final Fight (SNES) because they are: that's the noise.

Final Fight: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release and saving. Capcom's 1991 Super Nintendo port of the arcade brawler, a North American launch-era title. It is an arcade-style game with no save feature, so there is no save battery to worry about. Listings quote the US product code as SNS-FT-USA; check that the label code matches the US release.
- Print variants. An early-run retail print and later reprints may exist. We can't name a reliable tell, so don't pay a premium on a seller's "first print" claim without clear photos against a known authentic copy.
- Sibling confusion is the main trap. Final Fight 2, Final Fight 3 and Final Fight Guy are separate SNES games and usually ask far more than the original. Titles like "Final Fight Series" or a Final Fight 3 listing that mentions the first game are common. Check the cartridge label in the photos, not just the title.
- Sealed copies appear rarely and ask well above CIB; graded slabs and hang-tag copies sit at the top of the range.
Buying Super Nintendo games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every Super Nintendo cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
