How we filter
Every feed has its own filter, tuned by hand for this one game. Before any change goes live, those filters are tested against thousands of real eBay listing titles. Every night, each feed is checked against every other deal page in its category, so a listing for a different game that slips in gets flagged and fixed instead of quietly shown.
Of the 36 listings we observed for this game in the last 30 days, we filtered out 29 of 36 (~81%) for quality reasons. The remaining 7 are what we'd actually surface.
- 26 matched a bootleg / out-of-scope keyword
- 1 seller positive-feedback percentage too low
- 1 caught by a junk-listing guard
- 1 shipped from a region we exclude
What the feed excludes
An eBay search for Mighty Final Fight (NES) returns far more than the game itself: controllers, T-shirts, strategy guides, imports and repro carts all mention it in their titles. These are the 110 terms we filter out to keep this feed to the real thing. A listing whose title contains any of them never reaches the feed, the price table or an alert. Many look unrelated to Mighty Final Fight (NES) because they are: that's the noise.

Mighty Final Fight: collector & reseller spec sheet
- Release: Capcom's 1993 US NES brawler in the Final Fight series. Check that the product code on the cart label matches the US release, not the Japanese Famicom one.
- Save mechanism: it's an arcade-style brawler, so don't pay extra for a "battery replaced" or "save tested" claim.
- Print variants: no variant we can name with confidence. Treat any seller's "first print" or "error print" claim as unproven and compare against photos of a known authentic copy.
- Related page: it's a different game from the SNES port, Final Fight, so don't compare prices across the two.
Listing traps we saw while tuning:
- Japanese Famicom copies are titled "Mighty Final Fight" too, often with "NES" in the title. The feed rejects Famicom and Japan-origin listings, but check the item location and label yourself.
- Reprinted-label or multicart "Mighty Final Fight" carts and look-alike cases are common at low asking prices. A loose cart asking far below the going range for the title should be treated as a reproduction until proven otherwise.
- Registration cards and manuals are sold on their own at real money. They are not the game.
Buying NES games: what to check by condition
These checks apply to every NES cartridge. The item notes above cover what is specific to this game.
Loose
- Compare the label, shell color and front/back markings against a photo of a known-authentic cart. Repro labels are often glossier, blurrier or slightly off-color.
- Ask for a photo of the board or the back of the cart. An opened shell is not automatically bad (battery swaps are normal), but it should be disclosed.
- If the game saves to a battery, ask whether the save holds. Old save batteries fail with age regardless of what the listing says, so budget for a replacement.
CIB (complete in box)
- Confirm the box, manual and inner tray or insert are all shown in the photos, not just listed in the title.
- Check that the box and manual are the same region and print as the cart. Mixed-and-matched "complete" copies are common.
- Box wear (crushing, tears, sticker residue) moves price far more than the cart does. Judge it from photos, not from the word "mint".
Sealed & graded
- For a graded copy, look the certification number up on the grading company's own site and confirm the photos match the slab you are buying.
- For an ungraded sealed copy, compare the wrap and seal pattern against a known factory-sealed example. Resealing is common, and a reseal on a loose game is worth a loose price.
- Ask for photos of every side, the seams and any price stickers. Refusing extra photos on a sealed listing is a red flag on its own.
